Family vacation in a dream location
Our holiday farm is a real family paradise in eastern Carinthia at 1250 meters above sea level.
The free, sunny location offers a wonderful view of the harmonious mountain landscape of the Koralpen massif.
The fantastic panoramic view over the Lavanttal leads to the southernmost mountain range in Austria,
the Karawanken in the Alpe-Adria region.
With us you enjoy the quiet, secluded location on the mountain. Great destinations in Carinthia and Styria are easily accessible from us. We are right in the middle between Klagenfurt and Graz.
The beautiful district town of Wolfsberg is 12 kilometers away.
REAL Carinthian mountain farm
We manage our farm actively and close to nature. At any time of the year you can experience with us what it means to work with animals and in nature and to live in the countryside. We run the suckler cow husbandry, horse husbandry, grassland and forestry sectors with great passion. The mini pigs, pygmy goats, Cameroon sheep, rabbits, chickens, ducks, cats and our farm dog Luna are particularly important to us. With our small animals, we can let even the smallest guests participate in what is happening on the farm, for example feeding the rabbits or collecting eggs. This is a real holiday adventure for your children and they also learn how to deal with animals responsibly and safely.

About Us
The Zarfl & Lichtenegger family
Your hosts - close to nature, diverse, cordial
The farm, commonly known as Juri, has been run by our family for many generations.
In 1974, the farmers at the time, Franz Sr. and Johanna Zarfl, decided to turn their hospitality into a profession
and start renting out rooms on the farm.
Since the end of the 1980s, Franz and Barbara Zarfl have eagerly continued along this path and have constantly developed the business.
In 2025, their daughter Elisabeth and son-in-law Bernhard took over the family farm with great joy and motivation.
With new ideas, we, the ‘young’ host family, are bringing a breath of fresh air to the farm.
Our profession is our calling!
The down-to-earth nature of working in agriculture and the constant opportunity to think outside the box through encounters and conversations with our guests from all over the world – this is a special combination that we greatly appreciate and that makes our profession so exciting and fulfilling.
Running a farm successfully is best achieved when the whole family helps out, with conviction and passion.
We run our family business together with our grandparents and our two children, Fabian and Klara.
It is our pleasure to share the diversity and closeness to nature of our rural life with you as a guest in our home. Sustainability on vacation
For the sake of nature!
waste sorting
Waste separation has been a matter of course for us for decades. We separate glass, metal, plastic, paper, organic waste and residual waste. To make this easy for our guests to do, there is a separate garbage room with precise labeling and description of the materials to be separated.
Photovoltaic system & e-charging stations
Since December 2021 we have been generating green electricity with photovoltaic systems on the stable roof. With two e-charging stations for electric cars in the courtyard car park, we offer our guests the opportunity to charge their e-cars with green electricity (for a fee).
Ecological heating
The buildings on the farm and the hot water are heated by our own wood chip heating system. Only wood from our own forest is used for this purpose. When harvesting the wood, we pay attention to a particularly resource-saving management of the forest.
Own source of drinking water
Water does not have to be bought from us in expensive, environmentally harmful plastic bottles. Enjoy our fresh mountain spring water from the tap. This has the best drinking water quality and is constantly checked in the laboratory
